Trilllogy3 Band Composite

BIO

Lori Lopez wrote her first song in 1981 and since has written many meaningful ballads that combine Folk-Rock with traces of Pop, Acoustic, Soul, Latin, Country, and World appeal.  Over the years some of her tunes were lost or forgotten, yet her dream of forming a band continued despite having no one but her sons who believed in her music.  Waiting patiently for the time and equipment needed, at last in 2006 Trilllogy3 was born.

Following the footsteps of her uncle Lowell Lindberg, an accomplished steel guitar player, Lori never stopped trying to launch a career in music as well as writing and acting.  She homeschooled her boys Grades K through Twelve while penning screenplays and book projects, including her family's inspirational journey.

Noél and Rafael made a number of television appearances (Tijuana, San Diego, Los Angeles, and Miami) as a Mexican Ballet Folkloric duo.  Together the brothers and Lori staged comedy-variety shows for seven years, culminating with an Elvis tribute, at The Del Mar/San Diego County Fair.

Noél is an award-winning inventor, writer and poet who has competed at regional, state, national, and international levels.  He taught himself computer programming to design innovative software.  Rafael has won awards for writing and acted professionally in television and film, along with developing his own epic book project from age eleven.  The brothers trained as actors at John Robert Powers in La Jolla, California.

These are just some of this family's achievements.  They hope in the near future to record their first album titled "Fate".  Another goal of the close-knit trio is to benefit the world through music, literature, technology, films, and example.

WE WON'T TALK ABOUT TOMORROW

Copyright © 1982/1992 Lori Lopez

As another tree falls in the jungle
A myriad of lives will disappear
Everyday the wilderness grows smaller
Soon the forest lands will all be clear

And we won’t talk about tomorrow
When all we had is here today
And we won’t have to say we’re sorry
Cuz there’ll be nothing left to say
Cuz there’ll be nothing left to say

Can you imagine life without green jungles?
A world in which no animals roam free?
Well, unless we stop and think about it
Imagination’s all that there will be

And we won’t talk about tomorrow
We need to talk about today
There’s no time left for us to borrow
We’re throwing everything away

Can you imagine life without clean water?
Can you imagine breathing without air?
Can any man build elephants or dolphins?
We’d better save the world while it’s still there!

And we won’t talk about tomorrow
As if we only had today
And we won’t have to say we’re sorry
We’ll smile and watch the children play
Just smile and watch the children play
Let’s smile and watch the children play

Save Today
We can’t wait until Tomorrow
We need to make the world a better place
Let us save Today
There’s too much pain and sorrow
Being blind won’t make the heartache
Go away
So save today
We’ve got to save today
For the children of Tomorrow
And every creature’s sake
We’ve got to save the world today.

KEEP THE HEART OF A CHILD

Copyright © 1992 Lori Lopez

How many wistful dreams are cast upon the stars at night?

Who collects the fragments when our hopes are lying scattered in the light?

Is there some better way

To reach a better day

When we can all

Live our lives?

The sun paints a rainbow to cover the clouds

A message of hope in a world full of doubt
And we who stand under and lift up our eyes

Must keep our hopes and dreams alive

And keep the heart of a child

Keep the stars shining in our eyes

Just imagine how it could be

If rainbows never end

Just imagine how it would be

If rainbows never end

Oh for the days and the ways to make everything right

How can we ever replace what we hope for with all of our might?

If it could only be

If they would only see

What’s inside of our hearts

The sun makes a rainbow through oceans of tears

Why can’t we make peace last through all of the years?

Why can’t we feed hunger and live with respect?

Why can’t we find these answers yet???

And keep the heart of a child

Keep the stars shining in our eyes

Is there some better way

To reach a better day

When we can all

Live our lives???

And keep the heart of a child

Keep the stars shining in our eyes

Just imagine how it could be

If rainbows never end

And keep the heart of a child

Keep the stars shining in your eyes

Just imagine how it would be

If rainbows never end.

FAIRY TALES

Copyright © 1993/1994 Lori Lopez

Along the way
Some walls of fear
Have broken down
But are we free?
There is no right that isn’t wrong
From another point of view
Border lines are often drawn
By the ugly things men do
Most of us just watch the times
Through hollow eyes
We don’t know who to believe
We don’t know what’s truth or lies
Sometimes
The Good Guys aren’t so good
Or The Bad Guys all so bad
The brave may speak the thoughts aloud
That we all have

And some believe
In fairy tales
Happy endings too
That everyone can get along
Every wish come true
And some believe
In fairy tales
Exists a perfect world
In pages of a storybook
Where morals can be learned

For all we know
The hardest walls to break
Are those invisible
For all we know we live our lives
Victims of conspiracy
That builds a wall between two towns
And then calls us enemies
Most of us just watch the times
Through hollow eyes
We don’t know who to believe
We don’t know what’s truth or lies
Sometimes
The Good Guys aren’t so good
Or The Bad Guys all so bad
The brave may speak the thoughts aloud
That we all have

And some believe
In fairy tales
Happy endings too
That everyone can get along
Every wish come true
And some believe
In fairy tales
Exists a perfect world
In pages of a storybook
Where morals can be learned
Where every land is someone’s home
And every heart is free
Where Good Guys beat The Bad Guys and
There are no walls between.

HANG ON TO YOUR DREAMS

Copyright © 1993/2006/2007 Lori Lopez

Some dreams can be hard to reach

Like a bright and distant star

That you try to get a grip upon

But it’s always just too far

It’s a slow step up from where you’re at

To where you want to be

That seems to take forever when

Your heart is full of need

But hang on to your dreams

Even though you don’t know how to

It's closer than it seems

It's everything about you

We all need encouragement

In what we’re trying to achieve

It’s tough enough if you must aim too high

With no one else there to believe

It’s a lonesome road to travel on

To get where you want to be

And it seems to take forever when

Your heart is full of need

But hang on to your dreams

Even though you don’t know how to

Surrender not your schemes

Even when your best friends doubt you

Sometimes the people laugh at you
When their own dreams have slipped away
And it makes them feel so bad inside
That they find nothing good to say
It can make you cry as you wonder why
People have the strength to dream
Cuz it seems to take forever when
Your heart is full of need

But hang on to your dreams
Even though you don’t know how to
Hang on to those dreams

Even when your family doubts you

Hang on to your dreams

Even when they wonder about you

And if you get the chance

To show what you can do

Take the stage and let it shine

For all the world to view

But if you should fall flat

Rise up and bounce right back

Give it everything

Give it everything you’ve got!

You’ve got to dream if you want to reach that distant star

Because the light you are searching for

Is in your heart.

CARE (ABOUT YOU AND ME)

Copyright © 1981/1992/2007 Lori Lopez

Don’t be afraid
For all the mess we’ve made
It doesn’t have to be this way
If not for greed
My flesh is yours
Why kill ourselves with wars?
That doesn’t settle any scores
Just makes us bleed
Some lasting peace and harmony
Is what we need

We live in a land
That kills its young each day
Where babies die to defend the rights
Of the free
And the voices of leaders
Don’t cry out in pain
Tell me where is their conscience?
Where is their shame?

Why?  Can you tell me why?
And the drugs and the guns
Don’t discriminate
God's creatures die in the blink of an eye
In a world overpowered by greed
When what we need
Is to care about you and me
We need to care
About you and me

We breathe one air
This world is ours to share
Life doesn’t have to be unfair
If we just care
Why can’t we try
To co-exist beneath one sky
To hear the children cry
That doesn’t seem so hard to me
Some lasting peace and harmony
Is what we need

We don’t need more wars
Toxic waste
Nuclear cores
We need to raise our children wise
To see through opened
Yet innocent eyes
That we don’t need more poverty
Wasted lives of anarchy
There’s too much tragedy to go around
We need more smiles
We need less frowns
We don’t need cities everywhere
We need more wilderness to spare
We don’t need vices and corruption
The spoils of fossil-fuel consumption
We don’t need more than we can use
While others suffer from abuse
We need to care
About you and me

We can do without
The ills of drugs
Tobacco
Alcohol
Firearms and thugs
Crime behind bars
More explosive shells
The extinction of Nature
Heartless terror cells
Manmade disaster
The spread of disease
Corporate farms
Divided families
The reckless loss of Life
Oppression
Aggression
And civil strife
Corrupted youths
Immoral truths
Mega-nations
Conglomerations
Prejudice and Hate
Before too late
We need to care
About you and me

Hunger
Pollution
Chemically altered genes
Poaching
Encroaching
More thoughtless deeds
We don’t need violence in our community
And we don’t need
The right to kill our sons
In the name of equality!
We need to heal this earth
Consider its worth
We need to care
About you and me
Can’t we just care
About you
And me?
